An international video-art competition, set in the Lagoon of Grado (GO). 9 artists under 35 from Italy, Slovenia and Austria participate in an artistic residency with the aim of reinterpreting the Lagoon of Grado through video art, specifically the areas of the Foce dell’Isonzo nature reserve and Cavanata Valley.
“SEARTH – The European Video-Art Contest in the Adriatic Lagoon” is a project created with the aim of raising public awareness regarding nature, conservation and enhancement of protected natural territories, how they can be a source of inspiration for works of artistic value that bring positive messages in favor of sustainable development, scientific research, information and education.
Thanks to SEARTH, we were able to carry out an artist residency in the Grado Lagoon and the Exhibition “SEARTH – Video Art in the Lagoon” at the Casa della Musica in Grado, which hosted the works created during the residency by Andreja Kranjec, Anna Werzowa, Beatrice Caruso, Luca Granato, Luisa Hübner, Niccolò Masini, Omani Frei, Sabina Vukalić, and Vesna Prapotnik.
